J

Before: Struggling with dyslexia and dysgraphia, J avoided reading, despite loving audiobooks. Interventions hadn’t helped, and his 4th-grade teacher worried he wouldn’t keep up. His mom refused to accept that struggle was his only path.

After: By Module 6, J was picking up books on his own. Now reading at grade level, he enjoys books, confidently participates in class, and even writes more easily. “Seeing him read this summer was huge. He’s doing what other kids are doing. It was a gift.”

“He wouldn’t read and that just made me really sad”

“I just believe, like most things in life, if you put in the time and the work, you CAN make significant gains.”

"I’m a really
great reader."

Dyslexia can differ widely among children and may evolve as your child grows and learns. Early signs in preschool-aged children may involve difficulties with learning the alphabet, challenges with rhyming, and mixing up the order of numbers and letters.

As children age, they might grapple with understanding written passages, spelling words correctly, and expressing their thoughts in writing.

If your child meets any of the statements below, we recommend you screen them for dyslexia. The more statements that fit your child, the more critical it is that your child gets screened.

Kate's testimonial

"It’s a huge relief. I had anxiety and fear about his transitioning from 5th to 6th grade. I know he is a few years from that, but it is such a huge relief that he is where he is now."
